Salary £50,000 + Car Allowance + Pension + 25 Days Holiday
A leading design and build contractor based near Fareham is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join the business at the beginning of 2021.
The company has a long tradition working for local authority, education, leisure and food retail sectors, delivering new build, refurbishment and fit- out projects ranging in value from 500k to 4 Million.
With a steady increase of work load they are looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor who can manage 2 to 3 live projects, with a good understanding of JCT contracts. You will also be responsible for estimating jobs as well as cost management of projects through to final account.

The Role
- You will be responsible for managing all costs, saving money where applicable.
- To keep a tight control of variations on site, record all variations, pricing them and accurately recording their effect on final accounts.
- Manage allocated projects, packages and subcontractors, calculation and preparation of all company valuations and assist with final accounts.
- Preparation and presentation of monthly job cost analysis data.
- Analyse current methods and procedures and develop improved methods of working.
- Organise, order and manage subcontract orders, applications and assist with subcontract enquiries and management.
- Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
- Estimate and price new enquiries.
The Person
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Must be able to estimate projects.
- HNC or Degree qualified.
- Good knowledge of JCT forms of contracts.
