Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading maintenance and refurbishment contractor who is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing painting division.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Painting Surveyor to join a national property services business, delivering cyclical & planned maintenance and refurbishment works to both large social housing providers, commercial and government funded clients.
The ideal candidate will have held a Quantity Surveyor position or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor role and will have managed reactive or planned maintenance projects within the commercial, housing association and local authority sectors.
Experience of working with direct labour, lump sum and schedule of rates contracts, including NHF, bespoke and NSR would be beneficial.
As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for all commercial activities:
- Manage financial and technical aspects of contracts including procurement, invoicing and payment.
- Building up and submitting tender prices.
- Measurement of works.
- Agreeing interim and final accounts.
- CVR production and monitoring.
- Cost control.
- Production of direct labour targets.
- Engaging sub-contractors and agreeing prices.
- Adhering to commercial processes.
- Achieving invoicing and debtor day targets.
- Producing robust monthly P&L.
- Produce commercial reports, monitor and assist with the collection of aged debt.
