Salary up to £70,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension
Blaymires Recruitment is working with a specialist Civil Engineering contractor based in Portsmouth who is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
The company operates as a principal or specialist contractor and undertakes a variety of Civil Engineering and Ground Works projects for clients across the commercial and residential sectors with values ranging up to £3 Million.
Projects include Ground Works, Pile Foundations, Reinforced Concrete, Brick and Block Works, Diamond Drilling and Car Parks.
The company is going through an exciting period of growth and is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
The company will consider either a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor or Estimator / Quantity Surveyor from a Groundworks, Civil Engineering or Main Contracting background.
The Role:
- Responsible for the financial control of projects.
- Working with JCT or NEC contracts.
- Applications for payment in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
- Production of monthly cost reports and forecasting.
- Preparation of delay notices in accordance with contract terms.
- Processing monthly subcontractor payments.
- Picking up and valuing variations.
- Settling final accounts with main contractors.
- Site measures.
Experience:
- Previous experience with Ground Works or Civil Engineering an advantage.
- Previous experience working with JCT and/or NEC contracts.
- Minimum of 5 years Quantity Surveying experience.
