Blaymires Recruitment is representing an RICS registered practice of Chartered Surveyors, based in the centre of Bournemouth who are searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

The company was established in 1995 and has built a strong reputation for excellence and offers its clients Quantity Surveying, Project Management and Building Surveying services across the Commercial, Residential, Housing Association, Public and Private sectors.

Based out of their new Bournemouth office, you will be responsible for undertaking and collaborating on a range of pre and post contract quantity surveying / cost management and fund monitoring services. This will encompass a focus across a wide range of construction projects, including both new builds, refurbishments and alterations.

Due to a steady increase in work the consultancy is now looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the business and will consider applicants who have Consultancy or Main Contracting experience.

Requirements of the role:

• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction
• Proven experience as a Project QS / Cost Consultant, preferably from within a construction consultancy or surveying practice. However, candidates from a main contractor background will be considered.
• Experience in providing pre and post contract cost management services on a range of construction projects.
• Proficient in administering JCT building contracts, including monthly valuations
• Sound knowledge of the construction process from inception to completion
• Ideally have experience of undertaking project fund monitoring services
• High levels of professionalism, self-drive and commercial acumen
• MRICS or MCIOB status would be an advantage.
