A respected envelope specialist based near Poole, Dorset is searching for a Quantity Surveyor with cladding experience to join the team.
The business has been operating for over twenty years and undertakes a variety of facade projects that include Rainscreen Systems, Rendered Panels, Terracotta Tiling as well as Composite Roof, Wall Panels and Standing Seam Aluminium Roofing Systems.
Due to a steady increase in orders they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with Façade experience to join the business.
Description of Job Role:
- Responsible for the financial control of projects between £100k to £5million.
- Working with JCT, NEC contracts.
- Applications for payment in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
- Production of monthly cost reports and forecasting.
- Preparation of delay notices in accordance with contract terms.
- Processing monthly subcontractor payments.
- Picking up and valuing variations.
- Settling final accounts with main contractors.
- Site measures.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Previous experience with cladding, glazing or roofing essential.
- HNC in Construction or relevant Degree level qualification.
- Professional membership of the RICS, CIOB or ICE is desirable.
- You will have at least 3 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Have a good working knowledge MS Office – Intermediate level of Excel.
- To be able to write clear and precise communications which might include detailed and complex figures, calculations and specific building information.
- Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn construction management IT packages.
