Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager – Marine Sector

Salary up to £55,000 + Car Allowance + Pension + 22 Days Holiday

Blaymires Recruitment is working with a respected Marine Contractor based near Portsmouth who is searching for a Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager.

The company has a long tradition for undertaking a variety of marine base projects that include marinas, pontoons, berthing facilities, access bridges, pilings and private moorings across the UK.

You will be joining a friendly and supportive civil engineering contractor and will be responsible for managing commercial and operational duties on a variety of Marine projects ranging in value from £10k to £3M.

Key Duties

You must be commercially confident and have strong contractual awareness as well as having the personality and ability to build strong relationships with clients and sub-contractors.

You will have a proven track record in motivating and leading site teams and ensuring projects are completed against tight deadlines.

Requirements:

Experience of working within the Marine or Civil Engineering Sector.

Degree or HNC educated.

Good understanding for JCT / NEC form of contracts.

Good understanding of planning and programming projects.

Be up to date with Health and Safety requirements.

Ability to form relationships at all levels both internally and externally.

Confidence in dealing with clients.

Piling experience would be useful, but not essential.

Full UK driving licence required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Word/Excel/Outlook/Access).
