Redevelopment of Sports and Fitness Centre –  £10M
Fakenham, Norfolk
Starting 6th October 2025  – 61 Week Contract
Day Rate £300  – (Outside IR35)

Blaymires Recruitment is representing an interior fit-out and building contractor, who is searching for a Freelance Site Manager to lead the major redevelopment of the Fakenham Sports and Fitness Centre, Norwich.

The project will see the transformation of the existing centre into a modern, inclusive, and accessible hub for sport and physical activity.  The project will include large Civil Engineering, Fit-Out and Building works for the construction of a brand-new four-lane, 25-metre community swimming pool, a 55-station fitness suite and the refurbishment of existing studio spaces and changing areas, with a project value of £10M.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects from inception through to handover. The project’s technical complexity requires a manager with strong civil engineering, building, and fit-out knowledge, alongside excellent leadership and coordination skills.

The project is set to start in October 2025 and is planned to be completed in December 2027!

Requirements
Proven experience managing new build and/or fit-out projects up to £10M value.
Site qualifications: CSCS Card, SMSTS Certificate, and First Aid.
Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
Strong track record of delivering projects from start to completion
