Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading construction management contractor who is searching for an experienced Freelance Senior Site Manager to take control and deliver a new
13,000m² business park based in Southampton with a project value of
£10 million.
You will be responsible for quality, client liaison, planning, programming, managing sub-contractors and ensuring the site complies with all health and safety regulations and is Covid secure.
The duration of this assignment is 12 months, and this role would suit a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager with large industrial / warehouse / steel frame experience who is looking to take full control of a site.
Works consist of:
- Cut and fill and pond extension.
- Public footpath diversion.
- Ground remediation, stabilisation and vibro to the whole site.
- Pad foundations and slab.
- Steel frame structure with mezzanine floors to each unit.
- High quality external blockwork cladding.
- 400m of new road construction and the regrading of existing.
- 2 substations and infrastructure upgrades.
- 11,500m² of new service area concrete slabs.
Experience Required for the role:
- Successful track record of managing new industrial, steel frame or warehouse projects.
- Keen eye for quality throughout the build process.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
- Provide regular progress reports.
- Management of sub-contractors.
- Responsible for Health & Safety.
- Checking quality of work carried out.
- Trade or construction degree background.
Qualifications
- SMSTS.
- First aid qualified.
- CSCS card holder at Manager level.
