A respected family run building contractor based near Winchester is searching for an Architectural Technician to join the business.

They have been successfully operating for over 30 years and have made a name for themselves in the design and construction of beautiful residential and commercial projects.

They undertake the whole process from initial design right through to delivery and installation of the final product. Using modular building and traditional methods they have successfully constructed projects for both the private and public sector, with project values ranging up to £2 million.

The Role

You will be responsible for taking briefs from the domestic and commercial sales teams and producing accurate and timely pre-production design drawings for presentation to customers.

You will review all building designs to ensure they meet building regulations, industry standards, technical guidelines and best practice.

You will clarify details provided within the customer briefs to ensure understanding and double check all subsequent designs and plans against the briefs so that customers receive an accurate (right first time) representation of their building.

You will prepare accurate detailed drawing layouts such as floor plans, elevations and perspectives in 2D and 3D CAD.

You will have experience in the latest 3D software and 3D visualisations using Revit/Sketchup/Vray/Twinmotion.

You will assist senior staff with ongoing projects and assist the Office Manager with social media updates as well as regularly updating the website with new building images.

Requirements:

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit/Sketchup/Vray/Twinmotion.
• Have construction experience or qualification in Architecture or Construction.
• Have knowledge of building regulations.
