Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading Refurbishment contractor who is searching for a hands-on working Site Manager to oversee the fit-out of an existing Bowling centre based in Fareham with a contract value of £1million.
The contractor is renowned for undertaking refurbishment and fit-out contracts across the high-end residential, education, leisure and health care sectors and have further projects starting later in the year.
Due to a steady increase in workload, they are now seeking to recruit a hands-on Freelance Working Site Manager. This role would suit an existing Working Foreman or Working Site Manager from a carpentry background who is comfortable working on the tools when required.
The Role:
- Site inductions.
- Pre start meetings with sub-contractors.
- Coordination & management of subcontractors.
- Site safety.
- Collaborative planning with the subcontractors.
- Weekly & forward planning.
- Daily diaries.
- H&S paperwork.
- Site orders/deliveries/dealing with 3rd parties to coordinate deliveries.
- Feeding back to Quantity Surveyor on potential changes/variations – assisting with building up costs.
- Updating drawings when required.
- Emailing to confirm agreements with subcontractors on programme issues.
- Liaising with the client’s on-site team professionally.
- Enthusiastic attitude who gets the best out of the workforce.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Working Foreman or Working Site Manager.
- Fit-out or Refurbishment experience.
- Site qualifications including CSCS Card & SMSTS Certificate.
- First Aid Ticket.
- Carpentry background and happy to work on the tools when required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Happy to travel and live away when required.
