Salary up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + 25 days Holiday + Pension

Blaymires Recruitment is representing an established regional contractor based near Winchester who is searching for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join the business.

The company undertakes a variety of new build and refurbishment projects throughout the South and Southeast areas with values up to £20 million. Sectors include Education, Healthcare, MoD and Private Clients.

As Project Quantity Surveyor you will be site based on a new build community centre based in Tidworth with a contract value of £6m. This is a greenfield site, and you will be responsible for all commercial activities from groundworks through to Internal packages.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to play an integral role within an established and growing Main Contractor. The Ideal candidate will be capable of running their own projects and will have a good understanding of JCT Form of Contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Project delivery including pre-contract elements.
• Sub-contract management, procurement and negotiation.
• Monthly valuations and supervision of sub-contracts.
• Preparation of interim applications.
• Project valuations, planning budgets and costing.
• Management of projects to final accounts stage.
• Reporting to management.
• Cost/value reconciliations and ensuring standard costs are accurate.
• Risk management and capital trend analysis.
• Resolution of contractual issues.

Essential Skills

• HNC or Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification.
• CSCS card.
• A minimum of 5 – 7 years proven experience.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to work confidently both independently and in a team.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• A full driving licence.
