Project: Swindon, Extension to factory unit £1.5 million 
Salary up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + Pension + 25 Days Holiday

A leading commercial main contractor is searching for a Senior Site Manager to take control of an extension to a factory based in Swindon, with a contract value of £1.5 million.

The company is an established contractor who undertakes a variety of refurbishment and new build projects across the UK.  

Recent projects have included industrial units, schools and car showrooms that range in value from £250K to £6M.    

The business has a longstanding Senior Site Manager retiring shortly and they are looking for his replacement.

The Senior Site Manager will have experience of leading a construction site as a No. 1 manager on commercial construction projects. You will also be willing to travel and stay away when required.

You will be joining a friendly and supportive contractor who has long-term plans to grow and will offer a stable and interesting career.

The successful candidate will need to have:

• At least 5-6 years site management experience managing your own site.
• Have both new build and refurbishment experience ideally in motor retail sector but not essential.
• Experience in quality management making sure high standards are maintained.
• Detailed understanding of Health & Safety management and compliance.
• Experience with groundworks, steel frame construction and all external and internal works.
• Able to communicate effectively with clients, Architects, and other professionals as well as sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Be prepared to travel and stay away from home when required.

Qualifications:

• CSCS card 
• SMSTS certificate 
• First Aid at Work
