Blaymires Recruitment is representing a respected Modular Building Contractor based in Dorset who is searching for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager. 
 
The business has built a strong reputation through innovation and design and constructs high quality modular buildings for the education and commercial sectors, with project values ranging from £200k to £6M. 

As Surveyor / Contracts Manager you will be responsible for managing all Commercial and Operational duties regarding the projects, taking them from contract award through to hand over.

This role would suit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take on the responsibility of both Commercial and Operational duties or an existing Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager. 

The Role 
You will be responsible for taking projects from the Estimating team, producing a bill of quantities, placing subcontract packages, procurement and managing project cost and variations through to final account.

You will programme projects, meet clients and attend prestart meetings as well as manage site teams and promote a safe working environment.

Your modular build projects will range from 2 – 30 units depending on the size of the project and will include groundworks, M&E, air conditioning, suspended ceilings, flooring and externals.

The Person  

• Have 5 years Quantity Surveyor experience.
• Have Project Management experience.
• HNC or Degree qualified. 
• Good knowledge of JCT forms of contracts.
