Clerk of Works – Facades / Cladding  
Consultancy based near Southampton.
Salary up to £55,000 + Vehicle + Pension + 25 Days Holiday

I am representing a leading Surveying and Consultancy firm based near Southampton who are searching for a Clerk of Works to join their business.

The consultancy works closely with their clients to understand and manage cladding combustibility, risk, defects and remedial issues.

They are presently working with a range of Clients from social housing providers, landlords, private consortiums and management companies.

You will be joining a busy and friendly consultancy who are looking for a Clerk of Works (CoW) with Facade, Cladding or Construction experience to oversee Contractors who are undertaking cladding remediation works.

The Role
•As Clerk of Works, you will inspect and report on all areas of Facade / Cladding remediation and maintain quality standards, identify defects, delays and reduce risk. 
•You will provide valuable guidance to assist with getting the projects completed right, first time, you will provide an independent assessment of the works undertaken and will produce regular reports and dialogue with the Design Team, Contractor and Client. 
•You will produce reports that typically include; significant stages, quality control and witnessing site progress and activities, commenting on documentation and drawings, comments made to the construction team, defects and progress photographs. 
•This role would suit an existing Clerk of Works or other job titles such as Supervisor (NEC3/4 Contracts), Site Inspector, Site Supervisor, Construction Inspector, Construction Compliance Manager, Building Quality Officer and Quality Control Inspector. 

Requirements
•Minimum 3 years’ Clerk of Work experience.
•Facade, Cladding or Construction background.
•Willing to travel. 
•Member (MICWCI).
•Degree/HNC/HND) or equivalent.
