Salary £40,000 + Car Allowance + 23 Days Holiday
A respected main contractor based in Southampton is searching for a SHEQ Advisor to support continuous improvement and implementation of health, safety and environmental standards.
This role focuses on providing professional SHEQ advice and helping to embed operational practices and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for helping to develop, implement and monitor SHEQ policies and procedures as well as support on management system compliance of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
You will be supporting senior leaders in the business with competent advice, delivering training as well as taking on bespoke projects. This role is office based 5 days a week with some travel around to sites.
In order to be successful, you will need to hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum as well as having detailed knowledge of health & safety legislation and practical experience in delivering training and auditing to management systems.
The Required Qualifications
NEBOSH Construction.
IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate.
Qualified to deliver internal courses on Asbestos, Manual Handling, Working at Heights, Face fit, Abrasive Wheels, Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), and Incident investigation & Root Cause Analysis.
Confident communicator and report-writer.
Experience required
3 years’ experience in providing SHEQ advice within the Construction Sector.
Hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
