Salary up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + 23 Days Holiday + Pension
Blaymires Recruitment is representing a high-end residential contractor based in Chichester who is searching for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the business in January 2021.
The company’s reputation for expert craftsmanship means they have built a brand for delivering high class refurbishments and renovations of country homes, as well as period town houses and listed properties throughout West Sussex.
They have already secured a busy order book going in to 2021 and now require a Quantity Surveyor with high-end residential experience to manage an extension to a private residence based near Horsham worth £10 Million.
THE ROLE
· To be responsible for managing all costs, saving money where applicable but still maintaining quality of work.
· To keep a tight control of variations on site and assisting Site Managers and Contracts Manager in recording all variations, pricing them and accurately recording their effect on final accounts.
· To manage allocated projects, packages and subcontractors, calculation and preparation of all company valuations and final accounts.
· To prepare and present monthly job cost analysis data.
· To analyse current methods and procedures and develop improved methods of working.
· To organise, order and manage subcontract orders, applications and assist with subcontract enquiries and management.
· To assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
· To liaise with Accounts Departments to ensure cash flow for forthcoming monthly payment certificates.
THE PERSON
· Minimum 3 years’ high-end residential experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
· HNC or Degree qualified.
· Good knowledge of JCT forms of contracts.
· Good understanding of traditional building methods and products associated with the refurbishment of listed buildings and up-market period houses would be an advantage.
· Strong numeracy and financial management.
