I am working with a respected Roofing and Waterproofing Contractor based in Portsmouth who is searching for a Sales Manager to join the business.
They have been operating for over 10 years and have built a trusted business offering flat and pitched roof services as well as liquid waterproofing services. Areas of work include – roof management, maintenance, roof refurbishments, liquid applied coatings with project values ranging from £50K to £1.2M.
They are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to sell their liquid waterproofing services across the construction and industrial sectors. Initially you will be hands on selling and once you have established yourself, you will have the opportunity to build your sale team.
This will suit a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Manager with either a construction materials or roofing sales background who is looking to take on a challenge and build a sales team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to move into a senior management role once the liquid waterproofing division hits set targets and will be rewarded with shares within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicating with customers/potential customers in person, by phone, site visits, demonstrations.
Obtaining and forwarding orders.
New business development and key account management.
Working in conjunction with and supporting the Managing Director.
Conducting seminars/training for customers.
Networking with clients.
Key requirements:
You will have a proven track record in the Construction or Roofing sector.
Able to quickly learn liquid waterproofing and roofing and demonstrate a clear understanding.
Conversant with construction site procedures.
Experience of selling to major contractors, sub-contractors or private clients.
Experience of managing change in specifications.
Ability to give practical demonstrations of technical products.
