Refurbishment of a beautiful listed Manor House, worth £11 million
Reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor
Salary up to £60,000 + Car Allowance + 23 Days Holiday + Pension

This is a rare opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a respected high-end residential building contractor who build exceptional projects and is well known for undertaking refurbishments and renovations of country homes throughout the South of England.

The Role

You will be initially site based on a beautiful Manor House refurbishment project in Byfleet and will report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

You will be responsible for managing a selection of packages and will manage all costs, saving money where applicable but still maintaining quality of work.

Main Duties

· To keep a tight control of potentially high numbers of variations on site and assisting site managers and contracts manager in recording all variations, pricing them and accurately recording their effect on final accounts.

· Manage allocated packages and subcontractors, calculation and preparation of all company valuations and assist with final accounts.

· The preparation and presentation of monthly job cost analysis data.

· Analyse current methods and procedures and develop improved methods of working.

· Organise, order and manage subcontract orders, applications and assist with subcontract enquiries and management.

· Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.

· Liaison with Accounts Departments to ensure cash flow for forthcoming monthly payment certificates.

The Person

· Minimum 4 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.

· HNC or Degree qualified.

· Good understanding of traditional building methods and products associated with the refurbishment of listed buildings and up-market period houses would be an advantage.

· Strong numeracy and financial management
