Blaymires Recruitment is representing a respected Civil Engineering contractor who has a long history of delivering complex turnkey engineering projects in sectors such as Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear across the UK.
The company has a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the business, working on Southern Water projects, comprising mechanical, electrical, civil & process engineering. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will work as part of the commercial team and will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, working either as part of a commercial team on a large project or responsible for small projects of their own.
This position reports to the Managing Quantity Surveyor for the Process & Water team and duties include but are not limited to:
- Valuations
- Change Control / Compensation Events
- Subcontractor Procurement
- CVR's
- Early Warnings
- Updating Risk Register
- Monthly Commercial Reporting
- Cash Flow Forecasts
- Subcontractor Payments
- Dispute Resolution
- Final accounts
Desired Skills / Background
- HNC/HND/BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or by experience (Essential).
- Working knowledge of NEC Suite of Contracts (Preferred).
- A background of working within the water industry (Preferred).
