Salary up to £45,000 + 25 days Holiday + Pension

Blaymires Recruitment is working in partnership with a Building Envelope Contractor based near Poole who is searching for a Senior CAD Designer to join the team.

The business undertakes a variety of site assembled roof and wall systems, structural steelwork, standing seam aluminium roofing and rainscreen cladding systems for clients across the South.

The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of the design process and will oversee junior team members.

The Job Role:

•Ensure all construction drawings and designs are produced on time to a high standard.

•Manage the development and implementation of design proposals and ensure they meet the client’s expectations.

•Attend client meetings to ensure clear communications through the design period and present proposals for approval by the client.

•Prepare procurement plans tied to site programmes to ensure materials are on site as required.

•Lead the coordination and production of design data, bid deliverables, reports and documentation essential to the project and contractual requirements and report progress against the design deliverables programme.

•Provide design & technical support to all departments throughout the design and construction phase.

•Keep up to date with changing building legislation and codes of practice relating to design and ensure all designs have full compliance.

•Deal with all technical reports from consultants reporting on behalf of the client.

Experience:

•The ideal applicant will be a CAD Designer and must have experience in roofing, cladding or the more general building envelope field.

•AutoCAD would be preferable.

•Construction/design-related HNC/HND/Degree advantageous.

•Ability to research and develop products.

•Team player attitude with the ability to work alone.

•Excellent organisational and communication skills.

•Be able to work to tight deadlines and provide high levels of customer care.

•Ability to commute to Poole
