Blaymires Recruitment is representing a professional and established Utility Services contractor based near Southampton who is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The company has been operating over 20 years and has built a reputation for delivering multi-utility services for its clients. Projects include the installation of water, electricity, gas and smart fibre services to large schemes across the South.

The company is steadily growing and are searching for a Quantity Surveyor who has either Utilities, Groundworks, Highways or Civil Engineering experience to join the business.

The Role

• You will support the commercial team with all aspects including commercial reporting, payment applications, invoices, change control, account management, supply chain management, procurement and business costs.
• Produce monthly reporting documentation including applications for payment, invoices and notification documentation as required. 
• Conducting supply chain management duties, including procurement and post contract management to meet requirements. 
• Producing forecasts, cash flows and debt accounts (including management of debt accounts to obtain debt recovery) and providing relevant insight. 
• Interpreting drawings, specifications, contracts and programmes to ensure the business is aware of opportunities and risks. 
• Attending site meetings as necessary to produce quotations that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Skills

• A qualification to Degree or HND level.
• A good understanding of the utilities industry would be an advantage.
• Excellent financial/commercial acumen, coupled with strong attention to detail.
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal/influencing and organisational skills.
• Experience of using Microsoft suite, project management and financial software is a must.
