Blaymires Recruitment is representing an established building contractor based near Fareham, Hampshire who is searching for an Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager to join the business.

The company has a long-standing reputation for undertaking insurance, refurbishment and new build projects for the MoD, residential and commercial sectors with projects ranging from £100K to £5M.

The Role
You will be responsible for pricing tenders, managing project costs and running projects through to hand over. 

This role requires a flexible individual who can carry out Quantity Surveying duties such as, placing sub-contract orders, managing payments, variations and final accounts. 

You will also perform the role of Contracts Manager, you will liaise with the client and ensure projects are planned, programmed, resourced, and delivered on time and budget. 

The company is entering a sustained busy period and will consider either a motivated Estimator or Quantity Surveyor who would like to be involved with the project delivery or an existing Contracts Manager with cost management experience. 

The Person

• Have minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator or Project or Contracts Manager. 
• Have a good understanding of building regulations.
• Have refurbishment and some new build experience. 
• HNC or Degree qualified.
• Have knowledge of JCT form of contracts experience required.
