Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading fit-out contractor based near Basingstoke who is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join the business.

The company has been operating for over 30 years and has worked with numerous clients across the retail, leisure and commercial sectors.

Their clients range from high-end names such as Cartier, Harrods, Four Seasons Hotels and Louis Vuitton, to popular high street brands including Adidas, H&M, Wagamama, Abercrombie & Fitch.

The company undertake a variety of fit-out projects that can range up to £4M and often involve major structural steel alterations and include extension and basement projects.

With plans to steadily grow, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with fit-out or new build experience to join the team.  Hybrid working is on offer with working from Home, Site and Office.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful applicant will possess the following core strengths:

• Good understanding of procurement and tendering processes, cost estimates and feasibility with the ability to recognise value engineering when required.
• A sound knowledge of JCT Contracts and a strong commercial acumen.
• Capable of working in a fast-track environment on projects predominantly across the south of England.
• Strong negotiation skills to place subcontract orders and agree accounts.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team providing support to the commercial and contracts departments.
• Organised management of variation remeasurement to enable prompt agreement of final accounts.
• Confident to represent the company in meetings with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work to commercial targets to ensure that projects meet the financial requirements of the business.
