A highly regarded building contractor based in Andover is searching for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their business. The company provides a turnkey design and construction service, delivering high end, bespoke residential properties across the South.

The contractor works closely alongside their sister company who are a respected Architecture practice, who have a long history of designing beautiful traditional and contemporary residential buildings.

The Role
This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager to join a progressive construction management company who are experiencing an increased demand for their services.

This role would suit a Contractors Quantity Surveyor or Client-Side Quantity Surveyor and will offer the opportunity for the successful candidate to get involved in all aspects of the business.

You will report to the Directors and will be responsible for the below duties:

Measurement, estimating and cost planning.
Preparation of tender documents / tender reports.
Preparing contract documents and sub contract procurement.
Financial reporting and cost control.
Document control / management.
Valuations and site inspections.
Appointment and coordination of consultants.
Attend site meetings.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Have a minimum of 5 years Quantity Surveying experience.
Have Main Contracting, High-end Residential or Client-Side Experience.
Have a working knowledge of JCT forms of contracts.
Experience in recording and managing variations.
Completed a construction surveying / management degree.
Be methodical and attention to detail.
Self-motivated with ability to work on your own initiative.
Good communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
