Blaymires Recruitment is representing a Façade Remedial Consultancy based near Southampton who are searching for a Head of Report Writing to join their business.
The consultancy works closely with their clients to understand and manage cladding combustibility risk, defects and remedial issues. They are presently working with a range of clients from social housing providers, landlords, private consortiums and management companies.
They provide investigations and reporting into the safety of façade, this includes advice on construction, structural integrity, raw materials/combustibility risks and legal obligations.
They are looking for a Head of Report Writing to oversee and manage the report writing process ensuring all reports submitted by the building surveying team are accurate and comply with the up to date building regulations.
You will have ideally passed the External Wall System Fire Review – EWS1 course and will have experience in undertaking EWS1 certificates.
This is an office / home based role, and you will work alongside an established building surveying team and will attend virtual and in person meetings when required.

This role would suit a Senior Building Surveyor or Chartered Building Surveyor as well as a Chartered Engineer who has excellent report writing experience and an interest within the facades sector.
The Successful Applicant
- Membership of MRICS or MCIOB or CEng
- A minimum of four years’ technical delivery experience gained within a construction or engineering consultancy.
- Pre and post-contract experience.
- Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills.
- Strong IT skills (AutoCAD, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel and other bespoke software).
- Organised, diligent and commercially astute.
- A team player with a 'can-do' attitude.
