Blaymires Recruitment is working on behalf of a respected Building and Civil Engineering contractor who is searching for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor with NEC Experience.
The company undertakes a wide variety of Building and Civil Engineering projects that include warehouses, manufacturing facilities, education, coastal, rivers, ports, defence and airports.
They are looking for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to initially manage a new Border Security Centre in Plymouth with a contract value of £3 Million. NEC Option E.
This role is for a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with specific expertise in NEC forms of contract. They will consider candidates with either Building or Civil Engineering experience.
Your role will consist of the following:
- Monthly Cost & Value Reconciliations.
- Monthly Cost Reporting.
- Applications for Payment.
- Notifying and Assessing Change Events.
- All correspondence with the client.
- Managing the Risk Register.
- Procurement and Supplier Management.
- Forecasting and Estimating.
- Assisting with Tendering where required.
Requirements – You will be expected to have the following:
- Bsc Degree in Quantity Surveying (Diploma, Degree or HND also accepted).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Must have NEC Contract experience.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Word/Excel/Outlook/Access).
