Blaymires Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist Facade Contractor based in Romsey, who is searching for a Façade Designer to join the team.

The business undertakes a variety of rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, steel framing systems, insulated render, and wall panelling projects across the South.

The successful candidate will provide design support to the Senior Designer and Design Manager in all aspect of the design process.

As CAD Designer / Façade Designer you will have experience in the façade industry to enable you to prepare drawings, schedules and take off accurately and efficiently. You will be joining a small and friendly team who are passionate about details and ensuring that all projects run smoothly and on time.

The Role:

• Collating datasheets and samples for submission.
• Preparing design drawing for submission.
• Preparing schedules for manufacturing.
• Working to companies design procedures.

Experience Required:

• At least 2-3 years’ experience in drawing office environment.
• 2 years’ experience with Rainscreen Facades and understanding how they work.
• Good understanding AutoCAD or Rhino CAD.
• 3D Drafting knowledge is beneficial, but not required.
• Good working knowledge of Office products.
• Able to prepare accurate drawings under the guidance of the senior members of the team.
• An eye for detail.
