Salary up to £55,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + 25 Days Holiday
Blaymires Recruitment is representing a busy roofing and cladding contractor based in Southampton who is searching for an Estimator or Estimator Surveyor to join their business.
The business started in the early 90’s and has evolved into a respected specialist contractor offering design, supply and installation of various wall cladding and roofing systems.
With experience working for the private and public sectors they have completed roofing and cladding projects across the commercial, industrial, residential and education sectors with projects ranging in value from £100K to £1M.
The role of Estimator / Surveyor:
- Responsible for pricing new cladding and roofing enquiries and winning new contracts.
- Responsible for managing project costs, saving money where applicable.
- To keep a tight control of variations on site, record all variations, pricing them and accurately recording their effect on final accounts.
- Manage allocated projects, packages and subcontractors, calculation and preparation of all company valuations and assist with final accounts.
- Preparation and presentation of monthly job cost analysis data.
- Analyse current methods and procedures and develop improved methods of working.
- Organise, order and manage subcontract orders, applications and assist with subcontract enquiries.
- Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
The Person
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Building Estimator or Quantity Surveyor.
- Must have cladding or roofing experience.
- Must be able to price.
- HNC or Degree qualified.
- Good knowledge of JCT forms of contracts.
