Salary up to £55,000 + Car Allowance + Pension + 23 Days Holiday

Blaymires Recruitment Ltd is representing a leading Southampton based contractor who is searching for an Estimator/ Surveyor to join the business.  
The company has been operating for over 30 years and undertakes a wide range of alteration, interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across the South. 

They have a wealth of knowledge and experience working for the Public and Private sectors and have successfully completed Education, MoD, Local Authority, Leisure, Retail and Commercial projects ranging from 200k to £4million.

With their workload increasing they are looking for a motivated Estimator / Surveyor with JCT or schedule of rates experience who can price and cost manage projects through to final account.
 
You will be joining a friendly and supportive contractor who has long-term plans to grow and will offer a stable and interesting career. The role would suit an Estimator / Surveyor or Estimator / Quantity Surveyor who has refurbishment, small works or new build experience.

Accountabilities:

• Cost management across multiple clients.
• Measuring, estimating and budgets.
• Final accounts.
• Subcontract commercial control.
• Valuations and payments control for positive cash flow.
• Reporting, forecasting and risk management.
• Develop subcontract and client relationships & communication.
• Supply chain commercial improvement with suppliers and contractors.

Experience Required

• Estimating & tendering.
• Quantity surveying.
• Cost management.
• Reporting.
• Measurement.
• Commercial Awareness.

The Person

• Minimum 4 years’ experience working as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor.
• Refurbishment, Fit-out or Shopfitting background would be an advantage.
• HNC or Degree qualified.
• Good knowledge of Schedule of Rates or JCT forms of contracts.
