Blaymires recruitment is working with a refurbishment contractor based in Southampton who is searching for an Estimator.

The company undertakes a diverse range of building refurbishment projects for both public and private sectors with projects ranging up to the value of £3 million.

Due to an increased level of tenders and with plans to steadily grow the business they require either an Estimator or Estimator / Surveyor who can estimate projects using first principles.

Job Role

• Price projects from bill of quantities, specifications and drawings.
• Carry out detailed take offs from drawings.
• Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to provide the most competitive cost on a project.
• Carry out any general admin & filing as required with position.
• Attend internal meetings with the Managing Director and Estimating Manager to discuss tenders.

Experience

• Experience in the refurbishment sector.
• Have computer estimating package experience.
• Proven track record.
• Accuracy in your approach is an absolute necessity.
• Must be self-motivated and a strong desire to perform and deliver quality tenders.

Interview

The company is looking to interview potential Estimators over the next few weeks, and this will be a 2-stage interview process.
