Blaymires Recruitment is working with a specialist Civil Engineering contractor based in Portsmouth who is searching for a Contracts Manager to join the business.

The company operates as a principal or specialist contractor and undertakes a variety of Civil Engineering and Groundworks projects for clients across the commercial and residential sectors with project values ranging up to £3 Million.

Civil Engineering projects include Ground Works, Roads, Drainage, Pile Foundations, Reinforced Concrete, Brick and Block Works and Car Parks.

The company is going through an exciting period of growth and is looking for a Civil Engineering professional who can deliver projects. The company will consider either a motivated Project Manager who is looking to take a step up or an existing Contracts Manager from a Groundworks or Civil Engineering background.

The Role of Civil Engineering Contracts Manager
Reporting to the Regional Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple commercial and domestic groundwork's projects and will ensure that projects are brought in on time and in budget.

Duties of the Civil Engineering Contracts Manager

• Undertaking regular formal inspections of sites.
• Managing and overseeing all aspects of project works.
• Programming and allocation personnel.
• Ensuring client satisfaction during projects and at handover
• Ensuring Health and Safety processes and procedures are adhered to on site
• Supporting and motivating site teams.
• Ongoing training and development of team members.
• Implementing project requirements to fully meet the client specification in accordance with relevant standards.

Qualifications Required

• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering
• CSCS
• SMSTS
• First Aid
