Blaymires Recruitment is representing the UK’s leading Fire Safety and Facade consultancy based in Romsey who is searching for a Commercial Manager to join their growing team.

The consultancy undertakes work nationwide, providing a complete solution to fire and facade safety and compliance. They are working with a range of clients from social housing providers, landlords, private consortiums and management companies.

They are exceptionally busy with a full order book going forward and are currently overseeing the refurbishment and remediation of multiple Facade / Cladding projects of high-rise residential buildings across the UK.

The consultancy will consider either a motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take a step up or an existing Commercial Manager from either a Consultancy or Main Contractor background.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress up to Director level.

The Role:

• To manage all commercial aspects within the Project Delivery team including primarily their Quantity Surveyors and Employer’s Agents.
• Assistance in maintaining and growing the current Consultancy business.
• Ensure CVR forecasts and updates are prepared and updated by the team accordingly.
• Assistance with Project Delivery to the team, which may involve direct delivery of 1 or 2 schemes also.
• Review of fee forecasts and pipeline tracker, to review with Directors to understand resource requirements.
• Development of junior members of staff.
• Ensuring awareness of statutory and government guidance in relation to Fire Safety and Remedial Works delivery methods.

Skills

• FRICS, MRICS, FIOB or MCIOB would be an advantage.
• HNC or Degree in Surveying or Construction.
• Consultancy or Main Contractor experience.
