Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading  modular building contractor based near Bournemouth who is searching for a construction Byer to join the business.

The company is well known for being the South’s largest modular building contractor and are presently manufacturing and building modern family homes for social housing providers through to large MoD projects, with contract values ranging from £1-20 Million.

With a busy order book, they are searching for an experienced Buyer to join the team who will be responsible for the purchasing of goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
You will be tasked with improving company margins by negotiating advantageous deals both on a bespoke and volume basis.

The company will consider experienced buyers who have either a Construction or Manufacturing background and should have proven experience in their ability to communicate with both suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase materials in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
• Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organisation.
• Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
• Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements.
• Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules.
• Assist Finance in resolving invoice queries.
• Assist stores in Booking in goods.

Hours
08:30 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday
08:30 to 14:30 Friday
