Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading regional housing developer based near Dorchester who is searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
As a medium sized developer, the company currently builds 300 private and affordable residential properties per year across the South of England.
The company will consider applications from Trainee Quantity Surveyors or existing Assistant Quantity Surveyors as well as motivated and forward-thinking individuals who are at the start of their career, having obtained a relevant BTEC, HNC or Degree level qualification.
Whatever your level of knowledge and experience, you will work within a team of experienced Quantity Surveyors, carrying out a range of QS duties with the aim of progressing to eventually running your own sites.
The duties of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Developing build cost budgets for new sites, and monitoring/reporting actual costs against the budget.
• Preparing bricklayers prices
• Carrying out sub-contractor tender comparisons.
• Measuring quantities to check sub-contractor prices against pre-agreed schedule of rates.
• Compiling material take-offs from plans.
• Assisting with compilation of tenders.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly forecasts / cashflows
• Record keeping and documentation associated with sub-contracts
• Hours 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

• Salary up to £25,00 – £35,000  (Dependant on Experience.)
