Blaymires Recruitment is representing an exciting and young main contractor based near Hursley, Hampshire who is searching for a motivated Assistant Project Manager
The company was founded in 2020 and was awarded Chartered Building Company status, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
They have built a robust client base and have successfully undertaken projects across the Commercial, High-end Residential, Heritage, Leisure & Hospitality sectors with project values ranging from £300K to £1M.
2024 is proving to be a busy year for the company and they are now searching for a permanent Assistant Project Manager to join the business.
The chosen Assistant Project Manager will report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for managing a commercial refurbishment of a heritage brewery into new offices based near Winchester with a contract value of £300K.
You will work under the guidance of the Managing Director and will have at least 12 months site management experience as an Assistant Site Manager or a Junior Site Manager.
The Role of the Assistant Project Manager
- You will report to the Managing Director and in turn be responsible for all site activities.
- You will manage all labour and subcontractors to ensure work standards are maintained.
- You will oversee health and safety.
- You will be responsible for calling off materials and maintaining programmes.
- You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure delivery in a timely and efficient manner.
Skills Required of the Assistant Project Manager
- Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word & Excel.
- SMSTS certificate.
- First Aid certificate.
- Scaffolding certificate.
- CSCS Card.
- Good communication skills.
- Assertive and strong persuasion skills.
