Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading Design & Build contractor who provide specialist construction services to the Medical, Healthcare and Social Care sectors.
The company has been successfully operating for over 20 years and have delivered a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects including doctor surgeries, hospitals, affordable housing and extra care facilities with project values ranging from £1M-15M.
The company is looking for an Architectural Technician with new build experience to join the company. You will be joining a friendly and supportive contractor who has long-term plans to grow and will offer a stable and interesting career.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a keen interest and experience in producing technical drawings for Medical, Healthcare and Social Care projects, utilising software tools such as REVIT and AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities of the Architectural Technician:
- Interpret and fully understand client briefs and requirements.
- Provide architectural support to different housing projects.
- Production of working drawings and technical documents while complying to the latest legislation.
- Assist with the delegation of projects to technicians.
- Oversee timescales and quality control while liaising with clients and external parties. Develop over time and gain wider experience and knowledge, progressing within the technical team.
Key Attributes of the Architectural Technician
- Experience in working on commercial or residential new build and refurbishment projects.
- Sound technical knowledge and in depth understanding of building regulations.
- Proficient use of AutoCAD, REVIT would be desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
