Private Estate Renovation – £50 Million
Site: Near Andover
Salary up to £47,000 + Car Allowance + 23 Days Holiday + Pension + Private Medical Insurance
Blaymires Recruitment is representing a high-end residential contractor who is searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the business. You will be site based on a private estate near Andover and will be responsible for managing the renovation of this beautiful estate consisting of individual new build and refurbishment projects with a combined value of £50 million.
The company will consider either a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor who has Main Contracting experience. You will have new build and refurbishment experience with a good understanding of JCT forms of contracts.
You will report to a Senior Quantity Surveyor and will be responsible to manging packages on site.
You will assist with the below duties:
- Procurement.
- Planning.
- Reporting.
- Material purchasing.
- Valuations.
- Variations.
- Sub-contract compliance.
Knowledge /Skills
- HNC in Construction or relevant Degree level qualification.
- You will have 3 years’ experience working for a main contractor or developer.
- You will have a good technical understanding of traditional and modern building methods.
- You will have construction or residential project experience.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office – Intermediate level of Excel.
- Able to write clear and precise communications which might include detailed and complex figures, calculations, and specific building information.
- Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn construction management IT packages.
- A practical, logical and methodical approach to thinking and problem solving.
- Confident in dealing directly with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, clients, and subcontractors.

Working hours
- 41 hours per week.
- 08:00 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday.
- 08:00 to 16:00 on a Friday.
