Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading building contractor based in Portsmouth who is searching for a Senior Estimator to join the business.

They are an independent principal contractor who has been operating for over 30 years and have successfully built a strong reputation for delivering New Build and Refurbishment projects.

The company undertakes projects for a broad range of clients across the Bespoke Residential, Commercial, Hotel, Education, Healthcare, Industrial and Local Authority sectors with tenders ranging up to £15M.

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join the senior management team of an established business.  You will report to the Managing Director and will have the option of hybrid working from home and office.

The Role:

• You will be responsible for advising, preparing and winning new tenders for the business.
• This will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with clients and internal teams in line with the general strategy.
• You will manage the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender and post-tender interviews and provide data as requested.

Experience Required:

• With an Estimating background you will have a strong ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Be highly organised and be able to present information in a logical manner.
• Have strong communication skills and work well independently and as part of a team.
• Minimum of 5 years Estimating experience.
• Qualified at HNC or Degree level would be an advantage.
• Have main contractor experience.
• Must be flexible and have the ability to adapt to different situations.
• Knowledge of Conquest would be an advantage.
