Estimator – New Build / Refurbishment

Salary up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + Healthcare + Home Working

Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading building contractor based near Andover who is searching for a Building Estimator to join the business.

The company has been operating for over 30 years and has worked with numerous clients across the Retail, Leisure, MoD, NHS and Commercial sectors.

The company undertakes a variety of refurbishment and new build projects that range up to £10M and often involve major structural steel alterations and include extension and basement projects.

With plans to steadily grow, they are looking for an Estimator with construction experience to join the team.  Hybrid working is on offer with working from Home, Site and Office.

The Role:

• You will work alongside the Estimating Director and will be responsible for advising, preparing and winning new tenders for the business.
• This will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with clients and internal teams in line with the general strategy.
• You will need to assist as well as manage the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender and post tender interviews and provide data as requested.
• You will have the opportunity to work across a number of sectors including Education, Health, Heritage, Defence, Commercial and Industrial.

Experience Required:

• With an Estimating background you will have a strong ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Be highly organised and be able to present information in a logical manner.
• Have strong communication skills and work well independently and as part of a team.
• Minimum of 3 years Estimating experience.
• Qualified at HNC or Degree level would be an advantage.
• Have main contractor experience.
• Must be flexible and have the ability to adapt to different situations.
