Blaymires Recruitment is representing a regional main contractor based in Winchester who is searching for a Construction Director to join the business.

The company has been trading for over 13 years and undertakes all aspects of building work, including new build, design & build, refurbishments and restoration projects across a wide range of sectors such as industrial, civil engineering, maintenance and high-end residential.

The company has a current turnover of £4million with plans to grow the business to £10million over the next five years. The company is steadily growing with a busy order book going in to 2023 and is looking for a hands-on Construction Director to take the lead and manage the construction team and implement processes and procedures within the business.

This role would suit either an existing Construction Director or Senior Contracts Manager who is happy to join a small, yet growing business and be hands-on and support the long-term growth of the business. The company will consider someone on either a salary or day rate option.

The Role

• Providing accurate and timely project performance reports, ensuring projects are on track and contract requirements are met.
• Providing solutions to any high-lighted areas of concern.
• Leading on all construction aspects of the division’s work.
• Providing strategic and professional guidance to the Site Managers, Contracts Managers and other members of the team.
• Working collaboratively with the project teams and sub-contractors, building strong and trusted working relationships.
• Improving team capabilities and developing future strategies.

Requirements

• We are looking for an individual who is educated to Degree or HNC standard.
• You will have new build and refurbishment experience.
• Ideally you will be a member of the CIOB or hold RICS status.
• You will have excellent communication skills and a technical aptitude.
• You will have strong management and leadership capabilities.
• You need to possess an SMSTS certificate, First Aid certificate and hold a valid CSCS card.
• You will be proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
