Blaymires Recruitment is representing the UK’s leading Fire Safety and Facade consultancy based in Romsey who is searching for a Portfolio Director to join their growing team.

The consultancy undertakes work nationwide, providing a complete solution to facade safety and compliance. They are presently working with a range of clients from social housing providers, landlords, private consortiums and management companies.

The Role

• You will be responsible for pre and post contract duties and will work alongside the Managing Director and Finance Director.
• You will be responsible for managing the Design, Clerk of Works and Fire Engineering teams.
• You will manage and monitor the commercial aspects of contracts ensuring focus is maintained on profitable delivery of contracts, maximising all financial opportunities whilst ensuring risks are minimised.
• You will manage the funding process for cladding remediation projects and with liaise with clients and negotiate contracts.
• You will manage, motivate, mentor the Quantity Surveying department and the Head of the Building surveying team will report to you.
• You will liaise with Head of the Building surveying team and ensure delivery of contracts.
• Provide management information as required.

Portfolio Director Responsibilities

• Management and monitoring of project budgets, costs and contract terms, through senior surveyors.
• Work closely with the building surveying team and manager to ensure contractual and financial aspects are managed together.
• Advise on matters of contract as required.
• Liaison with financial controller, procurement manager and estimators.
• Valuation of works and collation of associated documentation including CVRs and sales forecast.
• Advanced user MS Excel.- Competent user MS Word, MS Project, Microsoft Outlook email and calendars

Technical Qualified

• You will hold either FRICS, MRICS, MCIOB or FIOB.
• RICS or Degree in surveying and experienced senior surveyor within construction industry.
• CSCS black card (contracts manager).
• Programme and project management – understand GANTT charts including interpretation of requirements and tracking of financial information.
