Blaymires Recruitment is representing a private Racing Estate located near Kingsclere, Newbury who are searching for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the entire estate.

You will manage one of the best equipped and most beautiful private training establishments in the country. The facilities have been constantly updated since the yard was originally built in the late 1860s.

The estate consists of 16 cottages and training stables for 200 horses with offices and grounds. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced building Maintenance Manager to manage and be hands-on with the maintenance of a high profile racing stables.  

You will be responsible for all maintenance duties and will be expected to make right all minor issues as well as project manage and organise sub-contractors to undertake work and any annual maintenance tests and upgrades.

You will also manage the supervising and overseeing of the associated buildings and varied staff accommodation repairs and upkeep.

Extensive hands-on multi skills experience as well as a full driving licence is essential and the ability to train building apprentices would be helpful.

Requirements

• Trade or Multiskilled background
• 3+ years’ experience working in a similar role
• First-class communication skills and the ability to influence external and internal stakeholders
• To be sociable, approachable, and collaborative in your work
• Excellent attention to detail and exacting standards
• To be a self-starter and able to manage a busy and varied workload across multiple projects
