Project: Passive Fire Protection Renovation Programme – Havant
Salary up to £36,500 + Car Allowance + Bonus + 23 Days Holiday + Pension
A respected maintenance and refurbishment contractor is searching for a Site Supervisor to oversee a fire door installation project based in Havant.
As Site Supervisor you will assist the Contracts Manager in creating specifications, programming works, and leading the internal trade teams to ensure they continue to deliver excellent quality and standard of service.
They seek a Site Supervisor or Site Manager who can facilitate the successful completion of contracts, on time, on budget, and to the highest standards possible.
The Site Supervisor role:
- Planning and managing the running of a passive fire protection renovation programme, so the work is completed on time, to the required quality, and is cost effective
- Experience in managing sites/ projects successfully within a refurbishment/FRA or similar workstream
- Working on the tools and supporting the team of operatives to deliver the works, when required.
- Supervising the productivity of direct labour and subcontractors
- Carrying out property surveys and the pricing up of the works accurately with the support of a Quantity Surveyor
- Organisation of the workload, labour, plant, and materials
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company policy, and procedures on Health & Safety with the support of a working foreperson
- Communicating targets, costs, progress, and variances back to client surveyors and management regularly
- Carrying out effective inductions to the workforce
Requirements:
- Qualified to a minimum NVQ 2 level or equivalent in a core trade; Carpentry & Joinery preferred
- Possession of an SMSTS or SSSTS certificate
- Qualified with an NVQ 1 or 2 in Passive Fire Control is desirable, although not essential
- Proven supervisory experience in passive fire protection work or refurbishment works in a domestic setting is desirable, although not essential
- Proven supervisory experience in a similar role, preferably from working alongside a social housing or local authority client related environment
- Excellent organisational and IT skills with the ability to pick up inhouse computer systems, Excel and Microsoft Outlook as required.
- Possession of a current full UK driving licence is essential, with use of a company van.
