Salary £45,000 + Car Allowance + 22 Days Holiday + Pension
A respected high-end residential building contractor who provides high quality building and joinery services is searching for a Joinery Estimator.
You will be working from their new state-of-the-art joinery production centre in Basingstoke and will price forth coming joinery tenders.
The Role
- To meet or contact Architects, site teams and clients throughout the course of pre, live and post tender negotiations.
- To review tender drawings, produce a cutting list, ironmongery schedule and apply CAD drawing machine, manufacturing, finishing and installation hours to form an accurate detailed estimate.
- To gather external quotes for specialist items- glazing and ironmongery.
- Completing quantity take offs as required and completing schedules of work, or bills of quantities if applicable.
- To write clear and precise communications which might include detailed and complex figures, calculations, and specific joinery information.
Reconciliation
- To analyse and distribute all associated elements of the quotation to the wider team
- Estimated hours for machinist.
- Estimated hours for bench joiners.
- Estimated hours for finishing.
- Estimated delivery and wrapping.
- Estimated hours for installation.
- Estimated material cost.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of bespoke joinery manufacturing and processes, including the use of multiple and complex materials that are used within high-end joinery fitouts.
- Demonstrate a practical, logical, and methodical approach to thinking and problem solving.
- Be confident in dealing directly with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Clients and Subcontractors.
