Blaymires Recruitment is working with a leading Roofing contractor based in Southampton who is searching for an Project Manager/Estimator Manager to join the business.
The company has been operating for over 25 years and has a long tradition in undertaking Flat, Pitched, Industrial, Heritage roofing projects for the commercial and private sectors.
As the Project Manager/Estimator you will report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for liaising and meeting with clients, pricing and winning contracts, organising labour, planning, programming and managing contracts from inception to hand over.
This role would suit a motivated Project or Contract Manager from a roofing background who is looking to progress within an established business.
Job Description – Project Manager/Estimator
- You will be comfortable in building and maintaining relationships with existing and new clientele.
- You will have a considerable level of roofing experience and will have extensive knowledge of both pitched/flat roof types.
- You will have experience in undertaking accurate site surveys and producing take-offs for both pitched and flat roofs.
- You will be able to prepare cost estimations, budgets and quotations.
- You will schedule projects and manage labour force effectively and liaise with various sub-contractors.
Skills:
- Experience in Pitched or Flat Roofing systems and installation.
- Understanding all aspects of the contracting process.
- Good computing skills.
- Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Excellent client facing manner.
- Well organised and proactive.
- Ability to maintain a professional manner when on-site or in an office environment.
